Are you that dynamic Facilitator who believes he/she is capable of capturing the attention of young ladies between the ages of 6 to 22 years old and or their parents? Are your expertise in finance, etiquette, counseling, technology, written or verbal expression or are you a community activist or one who is able to sow seeds of positivity into the lives of our youth, then perhaps you are that dynamic facilitator we’re looking for. If you would like to be considered as a facilitator for this year’s conference pleasesend your BIO with Headshot & a 1-minute video detailing your facilitation style and idea or a written explanation for consideration to us via email.

Join Malique Hawkins a 14 year old professional actor, mime, model, and orator at this year’s #ImPOWERfulGirlsConference. With 12.5 years of varied experience in stage, television, film, and print, Malique will uplift and inspire you through mime and spoken word. He will join our panel of professionals to discuss the violence affecting our families and plaquing our communities in our 1st State of the Nation Forum for teens and young adults ages 14-19 and up.

Support across race lines as it relates to the current plight of violence in our nation will also be discussed. These diverse topics will afford the opportunity for open communication in a comfortable environment.

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – September 24, 2016 – The She’Matters G.I.R.L.S., Inc. Youth Leadership Organization is a 501 (c)(3) organization announcing its fourth girl’s empowerment conference on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the Rosemont Unit, Boys and Girls Club, Virginia Beach, VA from 9 AM – 3 PM.
The conference targets girls ages 6 – 19 years of age and their parents. It will consist of leadership workshops, hands-on interactive activities, photo sessions, hair care and treatment, banking and investment, college readiness sessions, business development and vendor opportunities to name a few. A special forum for our teens and young adults will focus on the elimination of gender barriers through appropriate dialogue. She’Matters GIRLS, Inc is proud to announce the return of The HYPe Inspiration and The M.A.D. Girl Awards. The Harness Your Power (HYPe) Inspiration Award (ages 6-10) and The M.A.D. Girl Award (ages 11-19) will be presented to two deserving young ladies who demonstrate humanitarian acts, ongoing community service, exemplary leadership abilities and improved self-assurance in accomplishing & developing new endeavors.
